OPI Mariah Carey Liquid Sand

I have two brand new polishes to show you from the OPI Mariah Carey collection. Stay The Night is matte black sandy glitter with specks of red shiny glitter. Can't Let Go is matte purple sandy glitter with specks of shiny purple glitter and the occasional slightly larger glitter too. They just arrived for me yesterday, and I have to say that I am very surprised by how much I actually like them.

These are two of the Liquid Sand polishes from OPIs Mariah Carey collection. When I first heard about these I didn't think it would be something I would like. I am always wearing top coat, even suedes always end up with a layer of top coat cause I get all OCD about it haha!

I love how most of it is matte, and then there is shiny glitter in it to mix it up - in Stay The Night, it is red shiny glitter against matte black glitter.

My only problem with these is the drying time. They take FOREVER to dry! I did this mani last night almost 2 hours before I went to bed, and I still managed to dent my left pointer finger in my sleep so I had to fix it the next day - notice how it looks slightly shiny here? That's me trying to fix it with more polish. I have no idea how I managed to get it shiny haha!

I usually can't stand the unevenness of glitter if it can be felt through the topcoat. I didn't mind that so much with these, maybe because the unevenness is even all over. It feels like soft sandpaper on my nails.

I had to try adding a layer of top coat as well, and I do like that, but not nearly as much as I like them without. They are not nearly as special with top coat on.

They are even much prettier in real life, and I kept catching myself staring at them. I will definitely be getting more of the liquid sand polishes!
